18 Sketches for Exp1

Hello, guys. The following is my own 18 sketches which are designed base on the 3 types of words describing the creative work of Client 1 - SHINYA KIMURA as well as Client 2 - ANTONIO STRADIVARI (As listed in the previous post).
Each sketch contains two words from two different clients.

With these two words putting in different locations (either above ground or underground) as inspiration of ideas, a building with upper space and lower space as well as the underground space are created in each sketch. Those spaces are mainly used by clients to bring the creative work from their own studio (upper floor of building & underground) to showroom (ground floor of building).

My First Architectural Studies Post:>

Hello, guys. This is Sean, a first year uni student studying Architectural studies in UNSW this year. Because of being an architectural student, this first post is about my very first assignment which includes some interesting photos and descriptions. Hope you may find it awesome as well :D

Anyways, in this blog, it is for sure that you will find my work uploaded regularly thoughout this year due to course reqirement. (Of course, I am glad to share what I did during my first year studies too!) Therefore, please stick with my posts in the coming days!! Comments are always welcome.

  • Photos to Share~

1) My so-called "best piece of creative work" recently

The first one I would like to share with you guys is my own rough hand drawing with inking the outlines.

Actually, the reason why I will draw this picture is mostly beacuse of the need of buying a visual diary for one of my courses - Architectual Communication. After I bought this diary with translucent cover, an idea which suddenly came up in my mind was drawing something on the first page of diary to make it more attractive and distinctive for me to sketch any stuff during lessons. As a result, I almost didn't use any pencil as a guideline for this drawing but using my Sketch Liners directly to draw it out.

Fortunately, there are no corrections and errors made in the process of drawing. Maybe, this drawing can be said to be my "best piece of creative work" recently as I haven't drawn something without doing many pencil drawings as a guideline first@.@

How dare I this time, man :D

2) An image of a great piece of architecture work

The second photo I am gonna share is this wonderful design of bridge which doesn't look like a bridge at all in many people's eyes. While I was reading a book called "Architectural Keywords", I found this appealing architecture work called the Wang-Gong footbright located in Changhua, Taiwan by an Taiwaness architect named Liao Wei-Li.

At the first glance of this photo, I really appriciated the design and construction of this bridge. The reason is that at first those lines used in the outter sufacaes of this bridge are just like beautifully intersecting with each other. This generates a strong sense of different layout on the bridge . Besides, this bridge is mainly supported by those steel arc structures and fiber cement panels which can be seen from outside. The delibrate showing of materials in this bridge is different from those hidding all the supported materials.

Still, this footbright looks very modern, fancy and brilliant with the fantastic natural environment!

3) An original photograph of something beautiful

The last one should be recognised by everyone at the first glimpse. Yay, it is Taipei 101!! In fact, I took this photo while I was having a trip of Taipei with my best high school friends last year. That was the first time that I hanged out with my friends in a trip to an oversea country. It was one of my treasurable experiences and advantures in my life:>

Talking about this photo, the Taipei 101 is absolutely an amazing masterpiece of achitectural work among skyscrappers. Apart from the fact that it is definitely tall enough to let you see it in Taipei city, its unique design of crossing over the Chinese traditional style of  temple and modern architectural style makes this skyscrapper well-renowned over the globe. This is why I choose this photo as something beautiful. Maybe, It should be regarded as magnificent!!
