The site I have choosen is Shing Mun Reservoir which actually consists of upper and lower reservoirs located in the upper stream and down stream of the Shing Mun river respectively in the Shing Mun valley. Since the valley is generally in a large scale including the upper and lower reservoirs as well as a river connecting them, the focus of this site will be on the upper reservoir where the landscape is more special and has a more variety of magnificent views from a higher ground in the Shing Mun valley. Hence, this makes the approriate and sensible location to span the bridge over the mountains and place the architectural folly on the small islands within the upper reservoir. At last, the reservoir in this site will be treated as a lake between the valley for designing an appealing environment.
